Hiking trip on the farm (Summer 2003)
Ever since I was young I always wanted to hike up the backside of the farm to find the source of the creek. I made a few forrays with friends in high school but inevitably they bailed after about an hour of fighting through the rhodidendron thickets. I took a few poorly shot blurry photos on my trek.

This used to be used for making molasses (there is a fire pit off to the left). HighRes_WF35B805605217702 A froggy, about the only animal I saw except for one deer. HighRes_WF35B805605217703 HighRes_WF35B805605217705 Eventually once you get high enough up there is a fire road (which was news to me) and apparently some logging going on. There were also a couple fields up here but I have no idea who owns or maintains them. HighRes_WF35B805605217706 That would appear to be a bear track. Almond is for size comparison and not naturally occurring. HighRes_WF35B805605217708 HighRes_WF35B805605217709 A very nice flowering tree, although a bit of the vibrance is lost in the photo. HighRes_WF35B805605217710 Not really possible to tell, but the next two photos were supposed to convey how thick the brush is up here. HighRes_WF35B805605217707 Looking at the stream from the fire road that cuts across the mountain. HighRes_WF35B805605217717 HighRes_WF35B805605217704 HighRes_WF35B805605217714 There we go, the source (or one of them) of the creek. HighRes_WF35B805605217718 Once I got to the top of the mountain and had completed my goal of finding the source of the creek, the sky started to get very dark and it begin to dump rain. I actually had a lot of fun bounding back down the mountain soaking wet, leaping over rocks and through thorn patches.
